South Gulf Cove
South Gulf Cove is a unique deed restricted waterfront community built on
approximately 6,200 acres with 15,000 deeded lots, of which 4,734 are waterfront. The
community has over 100 miles of roads within it’s borders. Home site may be waterfront
or not (dry-lots). The waterfront sites may have sea-walls or a natural canal frontage.
Some sites are sailboat accessible, in other words, they have no bridges to go under, other
home sites may have one or more bridges to go under that requires at least 10′ of clearance.
South Gulf Cove has 126 navigable canals totaling approximately 55 miles.
The waterways make up nearly 1/3 of ALL the canals in Charlotte County. The canals have
made South Gulf Cove an island connected by four bridges. The Interceptor Lagoon leads
to a lock providing access to the Charlotte Harbor, the Gulf of Mexico and the World!
